Israel” and expectation of redemption.

Our Story

The Chabad House was founded 13 years ago with the goal of being a true home for each and every resident of Mevaseret Zion.

Rabbi Oshri Sabag – son of Mevaseret Zion and his wife Galit, who work devotedly for the community, established the place. They recruited Rabbi Menachem Dahan, the Lubavitcher Rebbe’s emissary, who came to live in the community with his wife Maayan immediately after they married.

Rabbi Oshri and Galit are the living spirit in this important enterprise to this day, and in their home many activities take place throughout the year. Rabbi Menachem regularly manages the synagogue, leads the Torah activities and provides a personal response to each applicant, with a warm welcome.

The woman team at the Chabad House, led by Galit Sabag and Maayan Dahan, conducts a great deal of work that empowers the women of the community and turns the center into a real home.

Constantly evolving

The work at the Chabad House is growing steadily and every year new initiatives and services are established. Among other things, we opened a synagogue that operates throughout the week, an elegant Mikva, a children’s daycare, a stew house that helps the elderly and many needy, a store for ritual objects and more.
